Our commitment to the environment
As a responsible company, we are focused on sustainability and resource efficiency. This applies to both our products and the processes within the company and beyond – for example, the environmental awareness of our employees and the optimization of the entire value chain. We are also taking concrete measures to ensure that the ecological footprint of BBC Bircher Smart Access is reduced and that CO2 emissions are lowered:

With our continuous improvements in energy consumption, waste generation, waste disposal and printing costs, we are conserving resources and contributing to the sustainability of our business operations. This also includes taking environmental aspects into account to the greatest extent possible in all new construction, conversion and expansion activities involving company-owned buildings.

Our efficient door and gate opening solutions help reduce energy consumption thanks to innovative detectors: Opening errors such as those due to crossing traffic are avoided – for people as well as vehicles. When it comes to access gates for factory halls, this smart automation can save several thousand kWh per year depending on the application. Our ambition is to continue making an active contribution toward achieving more sustainability in the future through these kinds of innovations.
